How it works

How does the Oraigo drowsiness detection system work?

Oraigo is an integrated system built around three components: Aigo, the wearable EEG device; Go, the mobile app for the driver; and Fleets, the web app for fleet managers. The driver wears Aigo, which connects to the smartphone via Bluetooth. Go processes brainwave data in real time to detect the earliest signs of fatigue. When a risk threshold is reached, the system triggers auditory, visual, and vibratory alerts. Data is transmitted to Fleets, where managers can access reports and historical trends.

If Oraigo detects a potential microsleep episode, Aigo emits a strong vibration while Go simultaneously activates auditory and visual alarms. The driver has 2 seconds to confirm they are awake by blinking; if no response is detected, the alert escalates and persists until acknowledged.

How is Oraigo different from ADAS systems built into vehicles?

Standard ADAS systems are reactive: they intervene only when fatigue is already visible (lane drift, involuntary movement). Oraigo is preventive: it detects the earliest signs of fatigue, in some cases before the driver is even aware of it, and long before any observable driving errors occur. This gives a significantly wider window for action.

Is the EEG technology used by Oraigo safe and certified?

Yes. Aigo is worn like a headband and is CE (Conformité Européenne) certified, meeting the highest safety, health, and environmental protection standards required in the European market. For the US market, the device is also FCC (Federal Communications Commission) certified, confirming compliance with American regulations on electromagnetic emissions and electronic device safety. The algorithm is patented and developed specifically for the professional driving environment. EEG is recognized by the scientific community as one of the most accurate approaches for early drowsiness detection.

Drowsiness detection and driver alerts operate locally through Aigo and Go. This function does not depend on connectivity and works even in areas with poor coverage. A Wi-Fi connection is required for the first login to the app. Syncing to Fleets and generating advanced reports require a data connection, but can happen in deferred mode.
